Ok. This evening I went to a Black Eyed Peas Concert (I didn't pay for it, for the record). I didn't really like the show, mostly because I don't really like Black Eyed Peas. But, after the show my roommate was trying to tell me that they are Hip Hop. I said he was retarded and they are straight pop.

what do you say?

They are often catergorized as hip hop I believe. Makes purists vomit, but I imagine if you asked most people they'd say hiphop.

I hate to say it, but I got to go with hiphop. They are their own brand of hiphop, If I say that they're not hiphop just because they don't have a typical sound, then I got to throw people like The Roots out of the hiphop category and there's no way in hell I'm doing that.

There was a time when Fergie wasn't apart of the group. Her addition has dragged them down, and essentially brought out the Pop side in them. There is a lot of garbage featuring her on their latest album, sounds nothing like their earlier albums.
