What's up with their defense? First Dallas, now Denver.

Denver's offense is something else...don't sell 'em short.

I guess I should start taking back all those negative things I've said about Jake Plummer...at least until he jobs it to the Colts again.
I wonder how much of the Koy Detmer Show we'll see today.

This isn't worth starting another thread, but I need to say...
1-10-NO 15 (2:37) A.Brooks to NO 8 for -7 yards. FUMBLES, and recovers at NO 8. Team sacked at NO 8 for -7 yards.
2-17-NO 8 (2:07) A.Brooks pass incomplete to J.Horn.
3-17-NO 8 (2:00) (Shotgun) A.Brooks sacked in End Zone for -8 yards, SAFETY (K.Carter).
I /images/graemlins/heart.gif Aaron Brooks.

What's utterly amazing is that Aaron made a good pass on 2nd down and on third, the Dolphins only rushed 3 but managed to somehow have two guys in Aaron's face within two seconds.

Since you're watching the game, is Ronnie Brown hurt or is Ricky just bogarting his carries? This is going to cost me about 30 bucks...

Ricky's looking pretty decent against one of the worst teams in the NFL, mixing in 12 yard runs with 2 yard runs.

Yeah, I guess putting it an unrelated thread makes the forum much better.

i'll take that to mean you're a fan of the New Jersey Giants rather than the New Jersey Jets (surprise, considering you chose the Yanks instead of the Mets)
the season is long, and there have barely been any intra-division games played. enjoy it while it lasts /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

yeah i hold no illusions about how good the giants are. but its not looking good for the eagles.
why is it surprising that im a yankees and giants fan?

Denver is a strange team. They have as many wins vs. quality opponents as any team in the league. They've thoroughly outplayed the Eagles, Jaguars, Chiefs, Chargers, Giants...
And yet I'm inexplicably unimpressed. Not sure if it's the lack of killer instinct on defense, or the inability of Plummer to complete a pass from the pocket.

Yanks - how many championships? I lost count, but there are a lot
Mets - last one in 86, have a huge payroll, slumming near the cellar of the NL East
Giants - won the SB in.. I dunno, sometime in the 80s I think. and definitely vs. the Bills in the early 90s, made it again and got hammered by Baltimore, but at least they made it in 2000
Jets - I have no idea the last time they had a whiff at the superbowl. I'm guessing Joe Namath was still at the helm the last time

if i were picking teams based on success then it wouldnt be surprising that i chose the yankees and giants.

I know it wouldn't be surprising, I was being sarcastic
but don't take it to heart, I'm not actually accusing you of hopping on any bandwagons. just a joke /images/graemlins/smirk.gif
