nah, nobody can win at pokerstars. greg raymer 30498t67038549769384769385476503849763434859763497 8653498 tables so the games are unbeatable. i'm off to stars to lose my money.

Not true. There are poker forms where you simply cant beat the rake.

10-30-2005, 04:20 PM
can you please elaborate why it's not, is there something in the structure, the play...what is it?

It's very possible, I don't see much difference between the two sites.

it's because everybody there is really good. and everybody knows how good everyone else is, they just go there to try and break even, only lose the rake. like the commercial says, go to pokerstars to work on your game. then when you've improved go to party where all the fish are. seriously pokerstars is pretty weak and for you to ask such a dumb question...well i hope you sit at my table.

I had some luck when I first started on pokerstars. Since then, it's pretty much break even since then. The players are definitely better there than at party poker. It's a shame too especially since party's software is bad. At least pokerstars isn't doing false advertising. When they say it's a great place to work on your game, they aren't kidding.

yeah, what bawcerelli said...

The "good play" thing is blown out of proportion a bit. If you cant make loot there over the long haul then you won't at party either IMO.

they are 100x tougher then party sngs

I think a good player can do better on Pokerstars S&G's than Party Pokers, the blinds are almost always very high on Party when you get down to 4 people, even if you're the chip leader you can't afford to sit back if you're getting cold cards. If you manage to play well and double up when down to 4 at Pokerstars you'll have plenty of time to still play Poker.

I can't believe you guys are saying PStars is hard to beat. I play exclusively at PStars now and it has always seemed to me to be much softer than PP and the structure greatly favors better players. I can't tell you how often I have doubled up in the first level with an overpair vs. top pair no kicker, or top pair top kicker vs. top pair bad kicker. Would you rather have this happen with 1500 starting chips or 800/1000 chips? There are more than enough fish at these tables.

Maybe I should shut up.

But they claim Pokerstars.net is a great place to work on your game. So they are still lying.

The .net commercials are for the play money tables. PS, Ultimate and Party all use this to get around the problem with advertising restrictions.

"PokerStars.net is not a gambling site."

Pretty smart.

Stars SNGS are beatable, they are defenetly not 100x harder than party SNGs.
On the 16s you will see a donk or two at the beggining ( unlike 5 or 6 on party)but in the end its the same pussy-pathetic-comical-weak-tight style that makes us all winners.

the best way to beat a PS turbo sng is to be a pushbot.
