I'm used to drinking my scotch neat and at room temperature. The last bar I was at served it heated and I really enjoyed the difference. Do you heat your scotch, and if so, how?

This is the beverage in question: http://www.whisky-selection.de/images/arbegten70x70.jpg

Ardbeg is good stuff, but I prefer Glenrothes or Cragganmore.

Never tried them heated though. That sounds a tad strange to me.

sounds like a gimmick, like those silly brandy warmers you can buy. Drinks like these should be warmed by your hands around the glass, that's it.

When suffering form flu or heavy cold I will somtimes have whats called a "hot toddy" brandy or whiskey mixed with boiling water, some places put whisley in coffee as an after meal drink apart form that never heard of it.
