You did get drawn out on a little bit, but I don't like the check on 3rd and then raise on 4th. I'd either start raising on 3rd and keep the pressure on or go for a check-raise on 4th or raise on 5th. The trip 4's isn't as strong as it might seem and your raise on 4th street after a limp on 3rd isn't going to get anybody out. Either start raising on 3rd to establish power or try for a reraise later on to make people think more seriously about folding.

i would say neither one. the only criticism i would have is that you didnt lose enough money on this hand. with a 4 in the door and a loose game you can raise on third right from the getgo and no one will think you have trips. that is not to say that you cant play the hand as you did, but only that there is another thing to think about.

I would like to go on record as saying that I absolutely hate this structure. I play at Canterbury Park, and their $2/4 and $4/8 games have bring-ins which are half of the small bet. They also have half-bet bring-ins in their tournaments This is just plain wrong, but I play anyway, because it's the only game in town. The bring-in should be 1/3 of the small bet, or as close as you can get, but not half-a-bet. One-quarter bet, like in $20/40, is infinitely preferable to half-a-bet. In your game, The bring-in is more than half-a-bet! This is unheard of. I think that there should be a chance that a person might limp in and then fold to a completion. Obviously, no one who has called $.15 is going to fold for another dime. Also, the ante is absurdly high. What a crappy structure! And at $.50, it's over-raked.

What was the question?

With two people in, you might as well complete on third street. I don't think you're going to kill your action at all. I mean, what are you going to play for $.15 that you won't play for $.25?

We lose track of the fourth-street action. Did you three-bet? If not, why not?

Nothing you can do about this hand. If you're rolled-up, and you don't lose a bunch of chips, you've probably done something wrong. If it's any consolation, the guy who won played incredibly badly. He came in with garbage, took a certain amount of heat with it, and then didn't even raise when he hit his hand. That's a recipe for disaster.
