The bet on 5th can't be awful, but is it best? River FPS or just extracting value (I don't do this often)?

Also, if 4th were bet by someone, I think this is one of the few 3-flushes that I fold on 4th for 1 bet, even without my suit falling dead. Anyone feel strongly either way?

Players are typical, maybe a bit weak.

I like it. I think the bet on 5th is very justified. Given the weakness on 4th, you might just get the pot right there.

Why? What makes this 3 flush different?

A jack and five are both dead, cards are very weak and don't have much straight potential, pot is not particularly large. Basically seems like it's got nothing else going for it at all. I guess it would probably be worth calling if I closed the action. I think it's pretty close.

No thoughts on 7th?

I'd probably just bet. The CR worked to perfection, but how many times are you going to miss it here?

If he's got kings up, then he'll check since you've got a ace showing. If he makes trips (which I suspect is what happened), he'll fall right into your check-raise, but how often is that going to happen.

Are you going to post the results /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bart, I checkraised people like 5,000,000 times yesterday. It really is a lot of fun. I like to do it when I've shown the aggression, then I back off. The only problem with the river checkraise is you miss an opportunity for a 3 bet.

Your opponent might possibly be retarded for betting.

Bet on fifth is a perfect semibluff.

I started about three different replies but basically agree with what Beer said and am really curious about this guy’s hand.

Hope you post the results. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bet on 5th is a must. I personally lead the river. You might get called by one pair here.

Yeah I think my check shows so much weakness that players will only check behind with kings up if they particularly fear the checkraise.

Do you think 1 pair would ever bet here?

10-29-2005, 08:55 PM
Could bet a busted hand, but you might get called by the one pair.

He had 77 down to start. Surprised he didn't put in a raise on 6th with his trips, but of course he bet after I checked, and luckily he didn't fill.

agreed. This is a very weak flush draw because it has no strong overcards or str8 possibilities. The only time I might call this is if:
Seat 8 was a LAG AND he bets out
AND
Seat 1 calls.
