no [censored]. He had 2 returns for TDs last week, though one got called back due to a phantom call from the worst officiating squad ever.

It's funny, Tressel opens up his playbook, and the offense makes things happen. We've gone deep a few times today, with success (if only troy smith wouldn't throw balls behind or short...). And once he got conservative with the playcalling again (in the red zone on the second drive) we got stopped, and the field goal unit comes out. *yawn*

now that i think about it, I hate Minnesota the most in the Big 10, next to Michigan of course. Especially Glen Mason. That whine fest he put on when he wanted John Cooper's job 5 years ago was sickening. Not to mention their uniforms are ugly. Take THAT!

Can anyone explain to me why Calhoun isn't getting more Heisman press? His numbers are insane.

(I know the reason -- lots of his numbers have been against a couple weak teams and we usually have an awesome o-line for backs to run behind, but still. 1600 yards and like 20 TDs.)

Funny, I said the same thing 3 weeks ago /images/graemlins/grin.gif

In all honesty, PSU looks like hell. Here's hoping JoePa earns his paycheck in the locker room during halftime. Lowry, hold onto the damn ball! Robinson, stop throwing like it's your first game. Tony, you might want to change your cleats, I'm pretty sure you tripped at least 4 times in the first half.

And yet, still up by 9? I'll take it.

Damn, what we could have done with Shockley.

[censored] McClendon AND Coutu. I expect they will both be villified on campus come Monday. Choke.

Objectively, though, we are nowhere near the likes of Texas and USC and probably VT. So I'm not that upset. But part of me would have rather lost by 3 touchdowns. I hate when we lose like this.

We've got the #1 high school QB in the nation signing with us (Stafford) who will start over Joe T., and we also have another star running back. I can see a national championship run 2 years from now.

MEbenhoe's favorite teams:

MLB - Yankees and Brewers
NBA - Bucks
NFL - Packers and Chiefs
NCAA bball - Duke(although i cheer for wisconsin and marquette, as long as they're not playing duke)
NCAA football - Badgers (which should be painfully obvious having read any post by me on college football this season)

Because great players don't have awful performances. I wonder who's more of a moron. The idiot announcers on the balls of a guy who is having a great year both in the air and on the ground, giving his team a great shot at winning the National Title, or the idiot spectator who calls him out for "medicore QB that is fast" for having one bad half of football.

Hell, I'm even in the "Michael Vick is overrated" camp.

He's a great runner. Easily the best in college football. Much of that is due to the Longhorns O-Line, which is incredible and just tire out opponents.

As for passing, he is nothing special. He makes a lot of "superman" decisions that result in INTs and fumbles. The "superman" attitude results in huge numbers, both negative and positive. It works when playing against inferior opponents.

I don't think we'll even remember who Vince Young is 5 years from now though, unless its in the same breath as Ryan Leaf.

Alot of is based on losses isn't it? Is there a team ranked higher than them with 2 or more losses? Well, Michigan is getting some computer love with 3 losses, so there goes that theory.

Funny. The computers have Miami at around 13-14 and the voters have them at #5. There should never be this much discrepancy. I guess the computers don't factor in a team's history/name when doing these things.

yeah, i think the system is favoring the stronger conferences. Obviously, you have the undefeated teams at the top, but look at the teams with 1 and 2 losses. The teams in the SEC and Big 10 are ranked higher than teams in other conferences.
