Firefox only works in safemode

I had to stop using firefox a couple months ago because it would only work in safemode. Re installed it today and same thing. What gives man? It will open in normal mode but none of the buttons or drop down menus will do anything if I click on them, can't enter text in the adress bar, and no homepage is loaded. Everything seems fine in safemode.
