Sparknotes?

They got me through HS and got most of my friends through college... I don't think I could stomach reading more than 10 pages of that book. Bleh.

I used to love SparkNotes but I don't really feel like doing that anymore.

Yeah but your only other option is to actually READ that crap. Ugh.

What can one say? You don't like the book, oh thats nice.

I guess you were fishing for

"You SUCK."

Well, you do, but I'm not going to be the one to fulfill your expectations, so I won't say it.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated.

This book blows...I'm sorry. Just give me like a kilo of blow and 1 month and I'll write something 10 times as entertaining and 1/2 as cracked out.

My English teacher in HS never really appreciated this outlook on the book but, I say [censored] it and [censored] her too.

I feel your pain brother.

Just be sure to get the whole shotgun in front of your face before pulling the trigger.

i tried that argument in precept when i had to read that book for my modern american lit class ... unfortunately she apparently teaches at my school, so the professor wasn't too happy with my refusing to read past the first page...

Here's a different perspective:

In a few years, you'll have to go to work every day for the rest of your life, until you die.

Reading a book for school really doesn't seem all that bad now, does it?

Whats the issue here? Toni Morrison is an awesome writer, but her books can be dificult to read.

I think it's a bit more like she's overrated and this book is drivel.

Unless you have a sawed off you need to remember to pull the trigger with your toe, a la Hemingway.

eh, it's more of a warning. Danny Glover (possibly naked) might be in it too, unless I'm confusing it with some other American contemporary lit crap I had to read/watch in high school.
