Should I have raised this preflop?
I also got called on the flop after my raise by a pair of twos and a pair of 8s, which basically made me pot committed...

You thought you were pot commited with top-pair bad-kicker with 3 people calling a pretty good sized flop bet and a call, raise, and reraise of your turn bet with 1100 left and a pot of about 500? Explain your thinking.

Sorry was typing about another hand.
Looking back at this, I have absolutely no idea why I called the raise. Tunnel vision on the Kings probably. Rubbish !

Well, UTG is an idiot. You simply don't call UTG with 42s and then continue to play it when all you flop is bottom pair and a backdoor straight and you're bet into. When UTG+1 goes all in on the turn, you fold. Until that point you were fine, but you can't go AI with KJ on a K high flop. This is, of course, unless you have a good read. YHeads up, you could call with 2nd pair with a good read.
