Preflop: Hero is Button with T/images/graemlins/heart.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG calls t50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t250</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls t200, UTG calls t200.

BB checks, UTG checks, Hero is all in (1020), BB folds, UTG calls t1020.

UTG is pretty loose, but not so much that he's a complete idiot. Should I have limped preflop?

EDIT: SORRY DOUBLE POST

completely read dependent for me personally
Any player that seems to have an ounce of credibility to me on the table raises red flags when they limp UTG in late game... If villian commonly limps UTG, I make the raise. Otherwise, I limp and play for set value.

BTW, kk or aa?

Seems fine. Sorry he had K9o, but it happens.

No. I believe the flop push is pretty straight forward. But I'll wait for more responses before I post results.

you push this flop even if UTG hasn't limped from that position all game?

i would never limp here preflop. you have position and a strong hand -- building a nice pot is not a bad thing.

i would have bet a little bit less (probably like t175), but i mean, to each his own.

kinda plays itself after your preflop raise. you certainly arent checking it through on the flop.

How else can you play it though.. any J-A is going to bollox up your hand, and it's not likely anyone has a 9. There's 750 in the pot and that's huge.

750 in the pot if this UTG limp doesn't raise flags. Maybe I'm unnecessarily cautious of UTG limpers(especially if I think they're *decent* enough to try to be tricky, but not smart enough to realize they probably lose money doin this)... i'm probably alone on this one though /images/graemlins/wink.gif

If UTG had a hand he'd probably have pushed, especially with the BB call, no? I mean, that's 500 chips right there. I'd push anyway.

don't live your life in fear man. [censored] utg limpers

I would probably have pushed PF just because it's already 5 handed.

Why, you don't want to accumulate chips?

When I said "I'd push anyway", I of course meant if I was UTG with AA/KK and facing the action that had happened after me.

I would definitely not push in Hero's position.

I like your line. I don't know if a raise to 250 accomplishes anything that a raise to 200 doesn't, but I think it's fine.

I understand rbear's concern about the UTG limper, but on average (which you often have to go by if you're multitabling and can't really pick up many good reads) I think you're giving up too much assuming he's got a higher pair here. You'll certainly run into them, but splashpot's line here is good.

Just for the sake of pointing it out, this isn't right frozinite. He'd be pushing 25.5 BB into a 2.5 BB pot. 5 handed isn't push-or-fold time when everyone has 25BB.
