i think the 2nd amendment allows people to own nuclear weapons.


yeah, well, im just really kidding. but a thread a while ago somebody said that there was a big difference between democracies (sic) and totalitarian regimes having nuclear weapons.


just thought it was funny that its in the news now that we (the US) now have a policy of prophylactic nuclear strikes.

I guess I really don't understand what the big uproar is about this new nuclear policy. Wasn't there already some kind of policy in place when these smaller nuclear weapons were made? Doesn't the govt. run all kinds of different situations all the time (like under what cercumstances would we nuc London)? What am I missing?

basically i think the US government announced to the rest of the world that there are *many* things that can trigger a first nuclear strike.


im not saying its good or bad, im just saying that a couple weeks ago a poster was saying that there was a giant difference between the US and other countries having nuclear weapons.
