basically i have a .jpg picture that i want to make into a video. the video would just consist of this picture. how can i do this?

my friend and i have this ongoing joke of sending it back and forth between each other because it is sooo gross. he's already made a winamp skin out of it and got me to check out his new "skin". or when he sent me pics from his camera of the party the other night it included this pic in it but renamed.

i need other mediums of getting this pic to him because simply sending the pic is no fun.

This isn't making any sense to me. If you have one image and you display it once or 30 times a second it's still just one image.

His buddy is much more likely to open it if its a video extension though. Take a look at microsoft.com, they have some type of video editing-free software on there.

There are a lot of programs that will turn .jpg files into a .avi file. If only I could remember the name of one...

Ah ok. I get that. The OP could string a bunch of altered versions of the image in with the original image and create a movie. That wouldn't be hard to do. I'm thinking simple stuff here .. change the size/shape, rotate it, colorize it wierdly, and then bounce back to the original.

Id get some good pirated video editing software, download a porno, send it over, and then have the image pop up right in the middle of the porn ( w/ loud sound of course), a la the scary car commercial vid.

You don't need pirated video editing software... there is some very simple/free software that strings .jpgs together into a .avi. There is also simple/free software to add an audio track... If I was at home I could point you in the right direction...

I definately like the insertion into another video idea though...
