help! want to count a #'s occurance in a table. have a 5x4 grid of SnG finishes (1-9), and a cell that counts how many 1sts.
COUNT(A1:D5) returns how many of those have a value. i want a
COUNT(IF(1,A1:D5)) or something like that?
THat MS paperclip hates me.

Hope this is a one line answer from somone who didnt mind my not doing a search /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I Think this is what you are looking for....

=COUNTIF(A1:D5,1)
