Nice, you had exactly 2 outs to win that pot.

When people suspect that you hold A-A-x-x they will often call with just a pair to try and draw out against you. Given that both players were so short-stacked, there is very little that you can do once they called the flop.

I don't like raising marginal A-A-x-x hands in the smaller limit games, as all it usually does is create a large pot that you will miss a majority of the time. Then, when you do hit, it is hard to get paid off. It all depends on your pre-flop aggression level though...

I think you are the fish.

At this level, play tight, and just peddle the nuts. Don't try anything fancy. I wouldn't even semibluff.

they were both shortstacked so the play isn't horrible, but I check/fold the turn.

Against LP PLO 25 players?

Bad players + me holding AAT8 in my hand + raised pot = Set unlikely in this scenario.

With AA, I would bet 1/2 the pot on the flop and fold to a c/r. If called and checked to check behind, see the river and decide what to do from there.

What you must realize is 4 disconnected cards that catch a single pair on the flop are not really far behind AA (about 40% equity). And against two pair you are behind (30 - 40% equity).
