On the turn when you didn't 3-bet.

I 3bet the turn. If he is that big of a maniac I probably c/r the river if he caps the turn. If he's LAGGY but not that big of a maniac I bet/call or check/call the river if he caps the turn.

EDIT: Just curious, but why didn't you 3bet the turn. When you get a big hand like this against a maniac just put as many bets in as possible, they are not going to have you beat that often.

If UTG+2 is a maniac, I think you should have put in a little more action. I would have 3-bet the turn.

after I saw your response and your avatar (greate movie by the way), I almost responded to teh op that he was 'acting like a little bitch right now' for not raising. I don't know him well enough or I would have. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Against a maniac when I have JJJ on this board, I'm 3-betting the river and hoping Villain caps. I think you win over 90% of the time and lose to a straight or set of Kings the other 10%.

I probably would have also 3-bet the turn so that I make him pay for the times he's on a draw.

Stick it in...

Wait a minute, this isn't OOT?!

I definitely 3bet the turn and lead the river. I'm not sure about bet/calling or check/calling the river if capped.

3-bet turn, 3-bet river.

Well, you say he's a maniac, so perhaps 3betting the river is best, but what kind of maniac? What was the board in the previous two hands. Was he UI? Was he betting and raising, or just calling?

LOL this is UB not Bodog. On Bodog my Screen Name is SIIMPOOT.

I was thinking 3 bet the turn, it would have cost me more this time but paid off for times he had crap.

Thanks guys, That was the largest single losing hand I had from my session and I just wanted to get a review of the play.
