SB - 14 hands - VPIP: 35.71
BB - 18 hands - VPIP: 5.56
I think I made it pretty clear during the hand that the hand was mine. What are your reads on the two players?

BB: J /images/graemlins/diamond.gifT /images/graemlins/diamond.gif seems to make the most sense. Way overplayed on the turn no matter what he had.
SB: Probably a crappy pocket pair like 77.

SB 44, BB DD.

So you think after all his betting, BB is laying down his straight to less than one bet?

BB: Something like AK /images/graemlins/diamond.gifs or JJ/TT.
SB: A9 /images/graemlins/spade.gifs

tough to really put someone on a hand only given VPIP and over such a short span of hands.

given BB's VPIP (even though he folded and we'll never know): JJ/TT. i just don't understand why he could be a on draw by wanting to iso SB's flop donkbet- 77 maybe though...

SB: i think i'm gonna have to guess A/images/graemlins/spade.gif9/images/graemlins/spade.gif or Qx/images/graemlins/diamond.gif(A/K/J)- no preflop aggression was given so i guess SB would 3-bet QQ but that's a possibility too.

Any reason to put the BB on a diamond draw with the heavy betting? I could see the SB being on one (that's what I had him on during the hand), but not the BB.

Ooh yeah, clearly not. Missed that the river would have made a straight. Well 2 poorly played diamonds then. I'll go with 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif since it still gives him a shot on the turn even though he still overplayed it.

Yes because any reasonable hand would not lay down for one bet on the river after capping the turn. So he must have had a strong draw to play it like that.

It's only 18 hands.

I like Ax /images/graemlins/diamond.gif for BB. Possibly the 2 or 8 of /images/graemlins/diamond.gif.

SB: Two /images/graemlins/spade.gif including the 9.

Edit: I didn't think about straight draw possibilities for BB. I like 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif for BB too.

SB has a flush draw and stacking off at the river, maybe cuz he has a pair of queens. BB has a set of 4s.

Any reason this hand isn't in the NC thread? I'm not actually being snarky, here, I'm just curious if you actually expect us to come up with hand ranges based on 18- and 14-hand stat reads, or if you just want us to see the big pot you won/lost. (Ok, ok, you're right, I am being snarky.)

Small Blind showed [Qd Qh] and won ($48) with three of a kind, Queens
The BB wouldn't say what he had.

These types of hands just kill you.

Sorry, I'm trying to see if my logic on what these two had was screwed up. In retrospect, you are probably right.

Bad beat posts suck, but at least you tried to keep some strategy in here with the hand reading.

I'm guessing SB had QQ and you got beat on teh river and this is a bad beat post in disguise.

10-27-2005, 12:34 PM
argh why did you wreck it, i was gonna say QQ.

and the other guy had 3d5d

It doesn't really matter what the other two had, at least on the flop and turn. You had the nuts until the river and there's no way you could have ever suspected SB to be on QQ.

SB: straight draw with spade flush possibilities, possibly a set of 4's

BB: Diamond draw maybe JT, A3, A5 of diamonds.

BB had A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and SB had a raggedy two pair on the flop.

This hand sucks as a hand reading post because it doesn't [censored] matter what they had the action would be the same everytime and none of us care if you got rivered.

10-27-2005, 05:32 PM
This is like one of those "I couldn't laydown my overpair/Aces/Kings/Queens/whatever" posts but it worked out anyway (from villians pov).

This is a nc thread, imo.
