Figured the short stack didn't have a monster here. Thoughts?

Seems alright to me. I like this more as a squeeze move though, like limping behind UTG, have someone raise later on, a couple of callers, UTG calling, then push with JJ. It can pick up a lot of dead chips..

.. and UTG will often call with a less than premium hand, too, especially as they're crap enough to have a) limped and b) just called with whatever they've got. Mid pairs and AT-AJ aren't unusual at all.

PS His range has to be 99+, AQ+ or tighter to make doing this incorrect, which is probably far too tight. I mean, he would do this with 77 and 88 too, and no doubt, AJ and KQ. Maybe even some lower suited Aces..

I play it the same. More often than not shorty has a weak ace or a small pair.
