Just wondering what everyones play would be in the following scenario:
NL Texas Hold'em $10 Buy-in + $1 Entry Fee
Level:5 Blinds(75/150)
Seat 1 is the button
Total number of players : 5
Seat 1: Button ( $1805 )
Seat 3: SB ( $1145 )
Seat 4: Hero ( $1586 )
Seat 6: UTG ( $434 )
Seat 7: CO ( $3030 )
Trny:16897432 Level:5 Blinds(75/150)
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to Hero [ Tc 2h ]
UTG folds.
CO folds.
Button folds.
SB calls [75].
Hero checks.
** Dealing Flop ** [ 8d, 8s, Ts ]

I don't really get people describing their hand as two pair when one of those pairs is on the board. I also don't think this is a particularly dangerous flop. I'm making a standard ~3/4 pot bet on the flop and probably giving up after that if he looks interested.

Or that. I don't like doing that more than once or twice per SNG though, you don't want to encourage the SB to limp proper hands to you too.

Well, I tried the bert 3/4 pot and then got raised all-in. I figured he was bluffing and was getting 1.8 to 1 so stupidly I did this:
SB checks.
Hero bets [250].
SB is all-In [995]
Hero calls [745].
** Dealing Turn ** [ Jh ]
** Dealing River ** [ 6c ]
Hero shows [ Tc, 2h ] two pairs, tens and eights.
SB shows [ Qh, 8h ] three of a kind, eights.
SB wins 2290 chips from the main pot with three of a kind, eights.

Having seen him slow play once already, perhaps I should have just checked.

The bet is fine, the call isn't. All you can beat is a pure bluff, and the chances are that he has outs on you even then. I guess you knew that already.

Er, this is awful, don't do it again. Bet, fine, if you want. Call, no, what do you beat with top pair 2 kicker on a T88 flop?

On another note, if the other player had bet the flop, say 3/4 of the pot, would anyone have called?

At this buyin, you could be certain, if they lead into this pot here, they don't have an 8.

Indeed. But less sure that they have don't have JTo, or even T9o, and will call an all-in with it because they're donks.

Or for that matter J9o, which they'd probably call an all in with as well.
