View Full Version : Shorter Sessions

Has anyone else run across the problem of a lower hourly rate when you sit down to play online (ring game) but only have about 30 or 45 minutes to play because of a later engagement (kid's ballgame, dinner, Viagra starting to kick in, etc)? I’ve noticed that in these short sessions I seem to have a lower hourly rate. It appears that I’m trying to push the few good hands I get harder and sometimes it causes me to lose in situations that I normally wouldn’t lose in. The sessions that I know I have a few hours to play with no restrictions except maybe getting to bed, my hourly rate is by far better.

I’ve recognized this as a problem with my game and was curious if anyone else has run into this.

It could also be that your reads aren't as sharp.

I have a lower rate because the fixed cost of setting up table is spread over a fewer number of hands. I average was less hands/hour in short sessions.
