I'm new to pot limit, and while I have a very solid holdem background, I am making newby mistakes. Peep this hand.

I'm pretty sure I overplayed this, but what's better to do here? Even though I'm open ended low there are still straights someone could make that I couldnt. Should I be worried of letting off a K or A that makes the PF raiser's set? Also, if someone could give me an idea of hands you can call PF raises with, I'd appreciate it. (i.e.) starting hand range. How are hands like 468T?

Thx,
Andrew

This play is perfectly fine.

If you want to get tricky, you could min-raise to $10. Since you have top set plus an open ended straight draw, and there is a rainbow board, you will still have the nuts on the turn unless someone hits an odd gutshot straight drawn with a 6, 7, 2, or ace. The odds of this are high enough that calling the $5 bet flat is a bad call, but raising to $10 or $15 to try to keep one or two customers isn't a bad idea either.

If anyone calls your flop raise, you're pushing the turn no matter what card falls, I think.

You played it great, well done. Sometimes they have a hand, and sometimes they dont.

Free cards are awful in omaha. Good job.

Looks fine to me. Glad to see that you didnt get any of my money in that hand...

That particular villian plays pretty agressively, so it isnt surprising that he bet the "innocent" looking board.
