not a huge shcoker, I guess. people have long rumored at the number of lesbians in the WNBA. so, this is the part of her article that jumped out at me:

"...there are as many straight women in the league as there are gay"

there really must be a lot of lesbians in that league.

Doesn't she have a couple of kids? I seem to remember when the WNBA started she was pregnant and had a husband.

Good for her. It would be interesting if more athletes were openly gay.

If a male athlete of her talent level came out, it would be the lead story on national news programs.

I'm pretty surprised. I think there quite a few on the LPGA tour (come oout, come out Annika) - and maybe tennis, but for some reason I didn't think there would be as many black lesbians.

I suspect this is because you don't think about black women in the same sexual manner as you do white women. So they, by default, fall into the category of Normal.

(I could be wrong. I was wrong once before.)

It's not that black women are not thought of in a sexual way, it's more because it's less OK to be gay in the African-American community. It's become more accepted in the white community. This is the reason HIV rates in the white and black community are disparate (excluding IV drug users).

What is the suicide rate of guys whose women come out after being married to them? I figure the over inder is 7 out of 10. I take the over. Imaginge your wife/girlfriend comes home one night and says "Listen, it's not you, really it's me, but I am switching teams!"

I just saw her interview - it looks like she's the spokesman for a gay/lesbian travel agency (who knew such things existed?). Maybe she turned gay for the money....
