Ray,

I won't be playing in the tournament, but may come down just to say hi and maybe play a few hands with you.

Ray,

the Shadow called and wanted me to go, make that demanded that i go, but he forgets that i have a wife and young son and can't quite run around like you gentlemen at the drop of a hat, i wish i would have had some notice though, trips with you are really tough to pass up on.

we will all have to make another poker trip soon.

best of luck to you and be safe. J.

to the WSOP again? I don't have time for fun poker trips anymore, so I need to get you to a major tourney in the U.S., so I can finally meet this legendary shadow-figure.

Have fun boys.

Too bad you aren't coming out this way. Niagara has a great 25-50 nl (sometimes 50-100) game that goes regularly.

Of course, it would be a bit of a drive.

Greg,

I can't PROMISE anything, but I think I am about a solid 4.5 to 1 fave to get the Zee man to a tourney that you would be attending.

We should coordinate at some point in the new year and make it happen, that and I still have to/want to buy you a very expensive dinner (no wine, you said you were allergic or we could really crank up the bill), a suppose that Zee could come to that as well.

Are you going to be at any tournaments in California in the Spring? That might be easiest for me to drag Zee to.

take care. J.Brown

Are you going to fish the Bow?

Why not New York? We can slingshot pigeons in Central Park and play real illicit, illegal poker.

Well, there is a pretty good chance I'll be at the LA Poker Classic and the WPT Invitational in late February at the Commerce. It is very likely I'll be at the WPT Championship at the Bellagio (a month or two later?). Other than that, I'm not aware of anything else at the moment that will get me to SoCal or LV before the next WSOP. I'm sure I'll be in both places, but I'm not sure when or for what.

I hope you can finagle him into coming.

You've got the wrong idea Greg -

I grew up where Zee lives in the Flathead Valley - You need to forget about meeting Ray at a tourney and go down there and go fishing with him in the Flathead River - and while you're at it, swing 20 miles south - I guess Doyle has a lakefront property on Flathead Lake.

If I were Ray, and I didn't have to work for a living anymore, I'd go back to MT and I wouldn't leave either - I mean, it is SORTA paradise.

Hey,

Will you be in Vancouver for that tournament weekend?
I will come out to it at least one of the days.

Look whiskey, I spent 2-3 weeks every summer from age 8-16 fishing in Montana before anyone knew Madison was a river. I have a virgin Sage 5-wt, best casting rod ever, caught 6 or 7 oak trees and a crepe myrtle in practice alone, never casted in live water.

Please do not tease the animals.

Boris, if you're out there, we're going backpacking.

thanks everyone for the posts. i plan on going to vancover nov16 to the 20 for that tourny and play in the three events. 1000 pot limit, 1500 limit and 2500 no limit. if the side games arent great. if they are thats where i will be. hope to meet anyone there.

now calgary. i had a nice chat with mark as he came down to see me. nice guy and i expect to hear about him in the future.
cash game was decent for me there. tourny was not. i played in two. a 500 no limit and came in about20 something and the 1500 and came in about the same. i dont recommend the cash casino in the future for tournys.
just poker no fishing.

to greg i hope to get down to cal. and see you.

It was a pleasure to meet you Ray. It was great talking to you and I'm glad to hear that you did well in the side action here in Calgary.

Thanks for taking the time to chat with me, and thanks for the kind words.

Ray, I will also be trying to play the $2500 NL event on Nov. 19,20. If I don't I still be up at the River Rock in Vancouver. Looking forward to finally meeting you and hopefully any other 2+2'ers.

You can't miss me - I'm the devilishly handsome looking Asian guy with the San Jose Sharks cap on. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
