View Full Version : Hand vs. pbdrunks, $5 rebuy

10-26-2005, 12:57 PM
$25k guaranteed, average is around 130k, 55 left, 135 got paid. I've only been at the table a couple orbits and haven't played but 1 hand so far. He was a short stack when I got to the table at ~55k and he has been doing his share of stealing by pushing on the button and/or in the sb. So his range is 2 cards here, would you call?

Why would you consider calling here? Wait for a better spot.

i do not like a call here. you are calling off half of your stack, when a lot of hands beat you. this is not neccessarily even a coin flip situation. you have an above average stack and need to pick a better spot to make a stand than this. don't let him throw you off of your game. if your game is taking random shots for half your chips, then go for it. but what do i know, i'm just a noob.

I would fold, but I like your instincts. What about QJ? I think that one is really close. I also think pb is less likely to push a monster here, so we can probably discount a few hands that have you crushed.

this is really close i think... if he's pushing any two you're 60%, if he's pushing top 75% you're 54%, if he's pushign top 50% you have 48%, if he only pushes top 25% you have 40%.. to be profitable you need like 45% equity..

I think a call here is decently profitable.

You're making this decision out to be really easy, I think it's very very close. Found a better spot /images/graemlins/grin.gif.
