Would you all push in both of these situations?

Whaddyamean NO? I push these hands easily, why wouldn't i?

10-26-2005, 02:52 AM
Yes and Yes. I would actually be hoping to be called on the second one. Why? I don't know.

since you are uncertain of whether to push these very clear pushing hands, you are probably pushing WAY to few hands.

you should get yourself the nifty tool called SNG Power Tools that help you with exactly this, is this a good push or isnt it? it costs $80, but trust me, it will be worth it in the long run.

The first is clear. The second is less clear.

i push on both easily...i wouldnt wanna get called....why is the second not a clear push.......i guess you could argue that having the blinds go through again wouldnt be that horrible....but its time to gamble a little....and 88 isnt horrible to gamble with in that situation....i think it would also depend how close it is from the next blind level

55 is an absolutely easy push. It's so obvious, I can't believe someone has even said "no". There is no range they can call with to stuff you up.

I thought 88 might be closer. But no it's the same. I'd also have shoved that in the game, but have thought at the time it might be a bit of a tighter decision, but on reflection it isn't.

Both clear pushes. Well played.

That's actually not true, it was my first thought too, but no range in SNGPT can prevent you profiting from this push with 88.

Yep, you caught me. Not often UTG+1 is a great pushing hand.

Since I have SGA open, I replugged some other data in. I have definately been folding too much. I can't believe it shows that pushing 33 from here is also +$EV.

I also started adjusting the stack of hero as well (taking chips from the bigstack). By just choosing +1$EV decisions, here are the results:

1320: 77 is good
1470: 88 is good
1620: 99 is good

i am pushing any 2 in the first case;
the second is more iffy, but i play it the same.

too bad your running bad.

Pushing any two in the first case is simply not right.
The second one as I've said is mathematically unexploitable.
