i wouldn't coldcall preflop. make it JTs and i would (edit - i misread. thought you gave the preflop raiser's stats. i think your call is okay).

i also wish i didn't see you get check raised on the flop. it's a weird spot with such a hand. the checks by BB and MP1 don't mean much, and MP2's check is weird. when MP3 and CO check i think it's basically like the hand is now 4 handed and the guy before you, who raised preflop, has checked. so, i think i agree with the bet (odd that MP3 and CO are the ones to coldcall two on this flop).

on the turn you have to call.

I think it's a good opportunity to play.

i thought the preflop raiser was the 43/2 guy. i was mistaken, and i agree that this is an okay call to make.

So far so good.

I'm sure there will be a huge debate about the pre-flop play. I really don't know what to say to that, other than I would likely cold-call OTB just like you did.

Once you're checked to on the flop betting is pretty much mandatory.

On the turn we're getting 13:1 w/ a ~5 outer and closing the action. Seems like a good time to call and river an African Ten.

River is T /images/graemlins/heart.gif. MP1 bets, MP3 calls, CO calls, hero calls?

Frankly I was shocked the Tr hit on the river and was brain dead on whether this was a raise.
Q9 and AQ seem very unlikely here unless they were /images/graemlins/diamond.gifs.

Edit to add that I am not a racist.

did you really just call? please say no.

this is a must raise. you have the best hand close to 100% of the time (my guess is 96% - rofl), and you have two players between yourself and the bettor. not raising is a huge mistake. . . . . . .

I wish I could say no, but I would be lying.
I took the whole pot also, minus the bet or two I left on the table. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Raise that river! MP1 isn't betting this whole way with a gutshot (even w/ 2 diamonds), and unless you think a guy who cold called pf w/ only one other guy in the pot is smart enough to go for overcalls on this river, you've got it. Raise and take down 3 more bets.

Yeah, I don't see how you can't raise that river. Unless you can read minds/cards to see that you are beat which is practically never.

So much dead money on the river, and you called?

I like the hand upto that point.

*grunch*
I think the bet on the flop is the smart play. I'd be hoping lots that MP1 raises the rest of the field out.
TURN.
Your 9 outs are definitely dirty. The 8:diamonds: is dirty.
You make your str8 and Q9, AQ beat you.
13:1 I don't know is enough.
(I had a hand very similar just the other day)

bottom line: Turn call is borderline, probably -EV, as you can't go to war when you make your hand.

nh so far. (up to turn)

It will take you an hour to make up the profit you passed up by not raising the river.
