View Full Version : were the founding fathers shortsighted?

I can't believe The Founders actually thought they would assemble this body of paid legislators in Washington, and that they wouldn't make work for themselves, Constitution be damned.

Perhaps there had never really been a Congress like it before, and so who could have guessed that nationalized healthcare, and an income tax wouldn't be far behind.

Maybe they weren't looking that far out. I guess next time, on another planet perhaps, somebody will experiment doing it differently.

income tax- almost 150 years into their future

nationalized healthcare- not quite here yet (more than 200 years into their future)

Can you tell us what the pressing social issues are going to be in 2150-2200?
