FAQ version 1.0. PM me with suggested changes.

Welcome to Other Poker, the nicest community on 2+2. We're all a little strange, but we don't bite. Even our resident vampire seems to be on the wagon.

Other Poker is here for discussion of casino poker games not covered in the rest of 2+2. Common discussion topics here are Triple Draw Lowball, Draw Poker, Kansas City Lowball, Razz, Crazy Pineapple, Limit Omaha Hi, and mixed games, but we're always interested in other variants as well. Non-casino variants such as Baseball and Follow the Queen belong in Home Poker (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=home).

Due to the rampant popularity of our games, most hand posts here are done with raw hand histories. Euri10 is working on a converter for UB Triple Draw histories which can be found here (http://membres.lycos.fr/euri10/td%20converter.html). It's still a work in progress, so PM her with bugs or suggestions. If anyone wants to work on a converter for other games, your work will be much appreciated. UB hand histories can be captured via Ultimate History (http://www.pokertracker.com/ubh.html) or GameTime+ (http://www.pokerdominion.com/index.php)

We're also starting to look into posting videos of our play. This seems especially useful here as hand history postings can be difficult, and this method can be used for any online game. TStoneMBD provides a tutorial and free hosting at PokerAVI.com (http://www.pokeravi.com).

For general questions, please read the FAQs below before posting.

Q. All these games are very confusing. Where can I read the rules?

Unfortunately Robert's Rules don't cover all of our games. He does have a few:

Robert's Rules: Razz (http://www.cardplayer.com/rules-of-poker/razz.php)
Robert's Rules: Lowball (single-draw) (http://www.cardplayer.com/rules-of-poker/lowball.php)
Robert's Rules: Draw (http://www.cardplayer.com/rules-of-poker/draw-high.php)

For other games it's generally best to look at the websites of rooms that spread them:

UB: 2-7 Triple Draw (http://www.ultimatebet.com/rules-strategy/triple-draw-27.html)
UB: A-5 Triple Draw (http://www.ultimatebet.com/rules-strategy/triple-draw-a5.html)
UB: Crazy Pineapple (http://www.ultimatebet.com/rules-strategy/pineapple.html)
UB: Crazy Pineapple Hi/Lo (http://www.ultimatebet.com/rules-strategy/pineapple-8b.html)
Poker Room: Chinese Poker (http://www.pokerroom.com/main/page/games/chinesePokerRules)
24h Rules Page (http://www.24hpoker.com/main.aspx?ID=c3343ce8-a76b-49de-a8ca-057fae9d13ae&) (Draw High, 2-7 Triple Draw, Soko)

Q. I don't see any of those in the Party Poker/Pokerstars lobby. Where can I play them?

As much as we'd all love to play our games on the big sites, niche games tend to be spread in niche markets.

Pot Limit Draw cash games & tournaments
2-7 Triple Draw cash games (little action) & low-stakes tournaments
Soko cash games $ tournaments

Q. Can I get rakeback or signup deals for those sites?

You can for most of them, but you're not allowed to ask about it in the forum. If you're really lost, PM me.

Q. Where can I play these games live?

We'd generally like to know that, too. Regular mixed games at the Wynn and Bellagio in Las Vegas contain some of our games, and A-5 Lowball is supposedly still spread in a few California cardrooms.

Q. What books/web resources are there for these games?

Unfortunately, there's not a lot in print on any of these games. I'm going to list several, but I have to note that 2+2 doesn't endorse any of these except of course David's and Mason's books. We're always looking for more resources.
