Private Messages sent, not saved?

Hopefully, this is a reasonable forum for this question.

When I send PMs to others my sent private messages don't show up in "My Home". My list of "sent private messages" always shows zero sent. Anyone know how to keep sent messages?

I'm not sure if it is a simple "preference" or "setting" issue, but I didn't see anything when I looked around.

I know the PMs are going through fine since I receive responses to them.

On the very first page where you initially compose your PM scroll down and check the box titled "Save this message". If you preview your message before completing this step you no longer have the option to save the message.

I was both afraid and hoping it was something simple like that. The problem was that I got into the habit of "previewing" posts and messages so just breezed through things until the "preview" screen.
