am i a slob?

so i'm a junior at yale and this is the first year that my suitemates and i all get singles. being lazy/apathetic, i haven't really made much of an effort to organize my room, make it look presentable, or anything of that nature. i have my bed set up, i have my desk set up, but there is clothes on the floor, and everything is generally disorganized. now, i'm 20. i'm a college student. i think this is normal. during lunch, though, i was berated by a bunch of people saying that they can't comprehend how i'm do unorganized, how i live like this, blah blah blah. now, my room is NOT dirty. it's just messy. should i take their advice and make it neater? or should i tell them to go eat their pretentious [censored]?

ummm, because i mentioned that i go to yale? it's sort of funny how people discriminate against someone for going to a traditionally elite university without knowing any of the reasoning behind why the person goes there. maybe i go here because its academic policies and specialites best suit my interests. and maybe i mentioned yale in the OP because i wanted to provide a background to my story. maybe, just maybe, this post has nothing to do w/ my gayness or the gayness of anyone else in my school.
