not sure about the other dude, but I always use a three point scale when checking out chicks. this is the last time I'm going to explain it here (until the next time):
1=no way, no how, not even with your tools
2=get a few beers in me and we can do some business
3=yeah, I'd hit that
fwiw, unless they're grossly disgusting, they get a 2 or better. most rate a 3. I'm not that wrapped up in my macho-ness and would pretty much take what's offered.

the math would be so much easier if everyone was on the 3 point scale. kind of like card counting where additional superhuman effort usually only nets a few fractions of a percentage point in added edge:

1+3=1+2=3+1=2+1=nfw (beer is irrelevant when 1's are involved)

I'm a personal fan of the 3 point system after hearing it. I find a much more interesting question coming from "how many beers would it take?" Rating girls between 7-10 (on a 10 point scale) is based purely on taste and seems pointelss.

Personally I think everyone should be required to use the 0-10 scale. Mean is 5, StDev is 1.5.
