First of all: I should have checkraised more on the turn, to put him all-in (now he would've had a few chips left, if he called). Let's not talk about that. /images/graemlins/smile.gif (edit) Now that I think about it, I would have had to raise like 300 more to put him all-in. Was this checkraise good anyway?

I had a good read on him. He was very loose (>60% VPIP), he called raises all the time, raised 10-15% PF himself and he played aggressively post flop. Whenever he spotted weakness on the flop, he would bet strongly on the following streets, until he was raised. I was 99% sure he would bet with any two. Is the check/call, check/raise OK, to get some of his stack in the pot, or is it suicide? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

not sure why you are in this hand to begin with

So now we're playing AQ+ only in our small blind?

If you're gonna go with a check raise, why not do it on the flop. It's cheaper to pull this off on the flop and it accomplishes the same thing. Fold to a re-raise though.

If you are going to take this line, out of position, lead the turn. Don't checkraise with top pair 9 kicker on AKTx board.. it's just not strong enough.

That, or lead the turn, folding to a raise.

OK, that makes more sense. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The thing is that he plays almost any two (he had a 70% VPIP at the moment) and that he would bet this flop with any two, too. I think he would fold to a check/raise. (He folded on the turn in this hand.) With someone spewing chips like that, i couldn't resist to wait until the turn. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

looks like you've put yourself in a position for your entire stack during level one. i dunno, thats just me. i think calling is fine, but facing big resistance at level one makes this an easy fold,, which makes me reflect as to why i even got invovled with marginal values

It's level 2. And I think calling the SB is fine.
