Villan: posts big blind 100

Dealt to Hero [Tc Qh]
Hero: raises 200 to 300
Player A: folds
Player B: folds
Villan: raises 515 to 815 and is all-in
Hero: ?????

Have played with this player a lot. Given the chip stack, Villan is likely to push w/pair, two face cards, and any Ace. Odds are 2.45-1, which favors calling. But it is a large part of my stack, and I'll almost certainly be an underdog. Call or let it go?

i would def let this go and get a better spot....no need to give up a large chunk of your stack on a "at best" toss up....plus you still have 10x bb

Why the hell are you raising for 3bb with Queen Ten offsuit under the gun? When there's a guy in the blinds with 8bb?

This is awful.

Your point is well taken. It now seem obvious. Unfortunately, it wasn't obvious to me at the time. Was just trying to play aggressive with some position. I have a tendency to tighten up with shorthanded play, so I was trying to compensate for that. Won't make that mistake again. Thanks.

You can solve this goof up by deciding what you're doing to a push ahead of time. When you see that you'll have to probably call the BB's all-in if you make this raise (I think you have to), you can just muck it pf.

i think raising q10 was donkish in the first place.
