7 handed, blinds are 15/30.

I have 840 preflop
Villain has 1115 preflop

Preflop: Villain is dealt black KK
Hero (utg) raises to 90, folds to BB who calls.

Flop: (t195) K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif J /images/graemlins/spade.gif 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif
BB checks, Hero bets 90, BB calls

Turn: (t375) 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
BB checks, Hero bets 300, BB calls

River: (t975) Q: /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
BB bets enough to put hero allin, hero has ~360 left??

This hand is sooo much easier to play if you pot the flop. This river spot is ridiculous... I honestly don't know. I think I'd call, but I have my doubts as to whether that's the right play or not.

If I pot the flop, I guarantee not to get any further action with this hand. An argument can be made to bet more on the turn I guess, but I'm certain, I'm not giving him odds to draw to anything except perhaps AT of diamonds (because he thinks his ace might be live).

Okay, I see what you're saying, but there are lots of combo hands that call. If you really are set on betting small on the flop, then push the turn.

I guess I call. Too big a chance he thinks the diamond will scare you off. But, it's close.

I would have bet a bit more heavily earlier too, but not necessarily a full pot on the flop.

you gotta fold. you are getting 1320:360, or 3.6:1 odds on the call here, but the chance that villain doesn't have a 10 or the flush are almost surely greater than 78 %. Its a fold.

I disagree, I think he'll show you some random 2 pair often enough to make the call OK.

That said, I make it 120 on the flop (it either hit him or didn't) and I'm probably all in overbetting the turn (80 billion hands still call.)

what is the buy-in?

wouldn't he have reraised with two pair after flop/turn with that draw on board?

And as we can tell from the responses of the forum, almost everyone feels they are committed to the pot at this point. Surely the villain would recognize this as well (that hero is committed to the pot and will call, making villain unlikely to bet a hand as weak 2 pair with that board.

The flaw with your post is that you think the villain is not a complete idiot at least 22% of the time.

Hmmm, I missed that part. I called, because most of my stack was in the f.ing middle.
