blinds are 400/800 ive got chiplead with around 8300.

dealt 8ts on the button. other guy is pretty tight. definately a push right? my friend disagreed with me.

With the blinds that high, I usually push every SB.

splashpot is half-right. The short stack is about 5 BBs. At those blinds, I push nearly everything, except maybe some junk like 23o, from both the SB and the BB.

He didn't specify the stack size. He said 'the blinds.' Additionally, this is stars, so I think other dude has over 8BB.

If you read more carefully, I DID ASK FOR STACK SIZES before I gave my advice. And yes, since his stack is that short, I push just about every SB.
