View Full Version : QJs on the bubble

4 handed. I hold QJs on the btn. I've been stealing a few times with these types of hands by pushing.

Stacks are approximately:
3400 (me, Btn)
1800 (SB)
3200 (BB)
6600 (CO)

Basically I pushed and got called by KK by the BB. Should I have waited for the SB to get eliminated? But isn't pushing on the bubble a strong play?

Pls discuss.

1. What are the blinds?
2. When do the blinds go up?
3. What buy-in SNG?
4. Don't post results

Yes, pushing on the bubble is a strong play, though sometimes you get unlucky and run into monsters.

You forgot, what reads on the BB. VITAL.

if i've been fairly aggressive towards BB, and feel the calling range is opening up, i fold... QJ just sucks heads up.. rather push K2

1. Blinds are 300 - 600
2. Blinds go up in a few more hands.
3. 5+0.5 SnG (should this affect the way I play? After all, 10+1 isnt that much different is it?)
4. Ok sorry about that, as I wondered if this is one of those ("it's poker")results.

Well, the BB should fold a lot here, but the SB should call quite a fair bit. I could see letting this go but it depends on how loose you think the blinds are (obviously). I mean, SB is dead in a couple of orbits, at most.

Anyway next time, flop a flush or river a straight. Problem solved /images/graemlins/grin.gif
