Well, not quite... Elaine and I get married on Thursday. But yesterday we went downtown and took some pictures in our wedding attire. Today, the photographer (who is awesome, and I absolutely recommend to anyone in the Vegas area) put a few pics up on his webpage. Elaine and I wanted to share them with OOT.

Congratulations on the wedding, you've got a beautiful wife and I'm sure the two of you will two will be happy together.

Well, either ed is just midly rebellious or he's only wearing sneakers for practical comfort reasons. Most people can deal with wearing a tux, but dress shoes can be a bitch.

We're getting married out in the bush (http://parks.nv.gov/vf.htm) so we figured we needed sensible shoes. Besides, they're hot.

Actually it's not a tux--it's a dark suit. And the happy couple is wearing vegetarian shoes (to use Zappo.com's terminology).

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, he's great! The thing is, too, all his photos are of real people, not models. So he works even harder to make them look good.
We had so much fun! Neither of us thought a photo shoot was going to be fun, but it was amazing!
And thank you to everyone for the compliments!
My only gripe - John would tell us "pose there and just make out a little." But then when he'd say, "OK, got the shot" Ed would just stop, mid-kiss! But I'd just be getting into it!

Cool pics man. That guy is very good at photography. He seems to like to cover peoples faces in the pics, but it still works. Some girl had branches over her face and a guy had his car-door window in front of his face but he still pulls it off.
You gotta be pretty good to cover your clients faces partially and not have them b*tch at you.

I did. It's a terrific picture, and it might be a funny avatar, but it's slightly odd to me to be possessive toward someone's mock-wedding photography.

The photographer has a talent for putting ugly people in model quality photos. My complaint is that your wife seems very pretty, but we don't see her face!
And the shoes may seem cool now, but in the future will probably look like my dad's sky blue suit with ruffles wedding photo. That is not necessarily a bad thing.

I loved the Valley of Fire when I was there years ago. Depending on the lighting/sun, you probably have some awesome shots.... or they'll be like my pictures and give no clue to the grandeur of the place.
