Hello guys and thnak you for responding
The game in quesiton is 3-6 limit with 3/1 blinds in a brick and mortar casino. My question is whether or not this game has potential for profit when you accont the rake (that would be 3 for rake and 1 for jackpot). I am studying Skalansky's Small Stakes book but I am inexperienced in limit hold'em. Also my bankroll is real;ly small, should I play?

It's beatable, but not for any earth shattering amount. We're talking like minimum wage rates at best here.

Play it as a learning experience, and move up to the 10/20 level or higher as soon as you can.

I also encourage you to try this new thing called internet poker. The rake is much smaller.

It is profitable if you know how to play...but that requires experience playing hands, not just reading books. If you are on a short bankroll, I'd suggest online lower limits to build the bankroll and experience before you tackle the soft 3/6 games.

Read this post by one of the Micro Forum mods. This is how you should get started, in my opinion.

If you consider $5/hr profitable.

SS applies to 6/12 and 8/16 as well if you are talking to Canterbury (which sounds like same rake and jackpot)
