Me no good,

Everytime i win a poker i feel great, when i lose, i want to kill myself for being a failure, i truly believe i am an unlucky person despite that i know that math says nobody is lucky or unlucky.

I get so depressed when i things are going well.

I dont know what to do, i just have nothing to look forward to.

Cards are just cards. You will win in the long run if you play well.

If it affects you that much emotionally you probably have other problems that need to be addressed.

In the meantime, gambling may not be a good idea.

hey bambi, its just a game!!!

what are the reasons for you to play?

do you want to make money?
do you want to have fun?
do you want to improve your play?
do you just want to have luck or is it something completely different?

anyway, there are things much more important than poker!!

Dont beat yourself up over it.

The only thing worse than losing to a horrible bad beat or bad run is having them destroy you.

Try setting a maximum amount of hands you will play in a day. Then get out and interact with people.

I'm so sorry you are feeling bad.

If you are having suicidal fanticies when you loose you should cash out now. Even if you were just using hyperbole, you should realy consider taking a break. Re-evaluate your reasons for playing and your risk tolerence.

Remember that there is no statistics guarantee. Each poker hand is completely independent from the ones before it, and just because you have had a bad run does not mean you are owed good cards in the future.

More importantly please see a doctor if taking a break from gambling does not make you feel better. Depression is a serious life threatening condition. There are plenty of treatment options available (some are safer than others) but only you and your doctor can decide if any of them are necessary or appropriate for you.

Also, try some simple things to feel better. Sunlight and exercise do wonders.

You have to learn to dissassociate yourself with playing cards. It makes it not as fun, but it works.

I think good poker players are like good superheroes. They have two seperate identities. I'm not saying you should slap on a mask and squeeze into some tights while you play, but I am saying that if you don't have other things happening for you away from the table, poker can be needlessly stressful.

Take kickboxing classes. Seriously, (other martial arts should work as well) it will help with the stress. Joining a gym and working out regularly might also do the trick.

Other suggestions:

Develop and/or maintain good relationships with friends that you respect. When you hang with them don't bring poker up.

Do volunteer work maybe once or twice a week. Take courses at a community college on things that you've always had an interest in but in the past felt like it wouldn't be practical (arts-type classes perhaps).

By putting yourself out there, getting out of the house a lot and being social, eventually you will find something that you look forward to doing, and then your instincts will tell you where to go from there. I wish you the best.
