Anyone wanna play heads up? 100BB freeze out, we can play your choice of stakes from 10$ - 100$, and we can post the history here for people to talk about. I am not very good heads up and I want to get better because it seems like an essential part of playing shorthanded.

I'm game. PP?

EDIT: guess not PP since they only have 50BB stacks on the private tables. I don't have cash on any other sites currently, so you'll probably have to find someone else.

you bring up an interesting point. I only have money on pokerstars and eurobet. we will have to play either on PS or skins network. Of course if you want to do the transfer thing we can probably work that out

10-23-2005, 11:53 PM
I'll play ya for $10 on PS, heh.

I had an idea for some heads up matches, let me know if you guys like the idea.

Mostly aimed at guys who play 1/2 up -play abc pretty well, want to improve with playing the player(tougher type lags)

Anyways, idea is to play 100 hands, each opponent agrees to not look at their cards(cover up with post it) for a random group of twenty hands during heads up match.

I think this would really force some thinking about how to beat the player without ever showing your cards, since if the player found out what set of hands you aren't looking at your cards, you are dead.

Would be best on stars micros, so no rake, and couldn't do if for real money since obviously people could cheat too easily.

I will play you heads up normal if you want though I have to make a stars account first. Party and skins rake is too high to play heads up for that amount.

the tourney wouldnt be at stars... but im pretty sure i can do it for either real cheap (i.e. like $50) or for free, and i think it would be fun... i believe we could do it as a freeroll, a 1 buy in, or a 5 buy in... i think it will be a blast...

Anybody interested in creating a SSNL heads-up freezeout tourney? That'd be sweet, with everyone sweating the semi-finals and finals and talkin all kinds of smack, plus it would be interesting in analysing poker hands between two thinking players

edit: oh right Bukem already said this. good idea Bukem!

A SSNL tourney would be great, especially if one of the rewards is a new title [xorbie..!].

I'm definitely down if timing works out. I was good at tournies before I was any good at poker. Just gave it up because coming deep in the bouble wasn't as profitable as 4 tabling NL. Lets do it.

Best way for you solve this I think is play at Pokerstars 0.01/0.02 NL H2H heads up tables with $2 each and then transfer the funds after the match. Cheapest rake that way.

UB already has HU cash game tables available at all levels if people wanted to play there. I don't know if this has been envisioned as a tourney with escalating blinds or just a normal HU freezeout.

if we want private tourney we can set one up (i can) private tourney, we coul get blinds 15mins a pop i think.

id prefer a non sng setting, but im up for anything

and if we did cash, 1cent/2cent is best considering the rake everywhere else is horrible until you get to higher stakes

Let's just do it like the micro's did it. Set up brackets and then people just go and play .01/.02 freezeouts and report back on who won. I think they had a ton of fun.
