what's the problem with collecting the extra SB from everyone before leading the turn?

Neither does donking the turn if UTG+2 decides not to raise again (or figures out what you're doing and flat out folds his 2-outer). Either way, the field will be getting about 10:1 to continue.

I like just 3-betting the flop & playing it from there.

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares! Of course you can't protect your hand. You are three-betting for...

...you guessed it...

VALUE!

Think about it logically. If you're ahead on the turn enough to donk bet, aren't you ahead enough now to three-bet? The fact that you make the pot bigger is not all that significant, as opponents who are calling a turn bet are probably going to call regardless of whether a few more SB go in on the flop. Three-betting may mean you're less likely to get raised on the turn by the flop raiser, but you can't really count on this happening after a turn donk-bet anyway.

If 3-bet flop, bet/fold the turn.

If no 3-bet, check/fold is SB calls and check/calldown if SB folds.

Why do you want to donk the turn? Seems like a good way to get the least from a hand like A8.
