Hand checked to turn bringing three diamonds but giving me an open ended straight draw. I called, and ended up hitting my draw and my opponent had no diamonds but was this a good long term decision?

A) Wrong forum.

B) Horrible call. You don't have the odds, plus there's three to a flush and and the board is paired. Chasing a straight here is very stupid.

I suggest you pick up a beginner's book on basic theory and start reading and posting in the micro-limit forum.
