I'm currently working on my grizzly adams look, so no razor necessary. Otherwise, though, no. That's the best.

Do you engage teh "pulsing action" when you use it? I don't cuz it feels creepy. How often do you replace the blades?

I just have the normal Mach 3. Is this much better? (I'm guessing from the picture this is the M3 turbo but I don't really know.)

No.

Tip: I use two at once for most of my shave and I've got it down to under a minute.

I'm also amazed that a battery has yet to die in over five months.

Same basic idea, but i shave my neck with it sometimes. Still brilliant though.

What exactly is different about this razor?

I grow basically no facial hair, but maybe i'd invest if it would shave my balls/taint more efficiently.

Don't you find that you turn it off accidentally when you are shaving, because of the placement of the button?

i doubt you'll electrocute yourself with an AA battery. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif But I had the same question, and it's why I haven't gotten one of these.

it heats up the blade and lifts up the hairs better. I don't know exactly why it works better, but it just does. super smooth and close. I recently upgraded from the regular mach 3 and it is absolutely amazing. you'll never have a closer shave. it does the job much better and faster as well.

Can you use regular Mach 3 blades with this? I have a bunch of extra ones that I'd rather not have to throw out if I bought the M3 turbo.

EDIT: I just looked on a website and saw that I can use regular Mach 3 blades. They still (obviously) reccomend the Turbo ones. Is there any maeningful difference?

I bought a M3 Turbo when they first came out and didn't notice too much of a difference.

It got STOLEN out of my bathroom and I went back to the regular Mach 3.

the Schick Quattro electric doesn't have this problem, there is an on and an off button and you have to press the button harder for it to turn on and off.

as for the product in comparison they are basically the same, the added 4th blade doesn't really make any difference so for whoever gave the link for the new "5 bladed razor" it too will probably just work the same as the quattro and mach3

I have a mach 3 turbo but I found it expensive to replace the blades so I tried some cheaper disposable razors. There's *definitely* a noticeable difference. The disposable ones not only do a horrible job and don't cut close, they cut up my face really good.

I'm buying some more Mach 3 blades the next time I'm out shopping.

LOL!

So none of the electric ones are good? I currently use the one in the OP, but I wanted to try the electric one that was posted, but since everyone says it isnt very good I guess its not worth it.

Couple of questions, Is there a decent electric one? I mean the one that was posted supposedly isnt any good, but how about some of the other electric ones? Any good ones? Or is the one posted the best electric one?

not for me, i have thicker facial hair and there isn't an elctric that can actually completely shave my face. i have to use a razor to give a smooth shave.

Sorry, my post was confusing. The whole Mach line-up of razors are disposable, of course. What I meant is that I'd stopped using the Mach 3 Turbo to try out a cheaper disposable razor, and it butchered me. The whole Mach line-up of razors is very good. I haven't tried the newest electric one yet, though.

I use their after shave balm. I prefer "The Art of Shaving's" Sandlewood shaving cream.

Mach 3 Turbo > March 3 > Mach 3 Power. I hate the power.

Can someone explain the difference between the "turbo" and the "power?"

BottlesOf
10-23-2005, 06:18 PM
the power has a AA battery and actually vibrates when you turn it on. Good in theory, but I find it's just weird and I end up not getting as good a shave with more irritation. The Turbo is the same as the regular mach 3 with some improvements that really do help, ven though I couldn't adequately describe what they are.
