I've only had Pokertracker for the last couple of weeks. Prior to this though, I'd tracked my results in a spreadsheet where I was +$4,500 after 40 hours of play in 5/10. At 1.45 hands per minutes (my average in PT so far), that shakes out to about 12.8BB/100 over 3.5k hands.

I think it's all about game selection (I generally only sit where there's at least two players with less than 15BB), but I'm curious if there's anything in my stats that is unusual.

Cheerio.

Yes. 1,217 hands. We've all had stretches like that believe it or not.

I really like that 10/20 winrate. Do you offer coaching?

10-23-2005, 12:18 AM
13BB/100 over 4.7k can't be all variance

Wheres the rest of the hands?

I'm going through all of my 59 hand stretches in PT as we speak. I'll let you know on Wednesday if I can find anything better.

Guys, how can you argue with this? He posted a picture. Oh, and his stats are over nearly FIVE THOUSAND HANDS. That's a lot of hands guys. A hell of a lot of hands.

Jealousy is a terrible thing.

No offense, but this is the fundamental error you seem to be overlooking.

I bet we can all pick out longterm losers from our DB's that have won 10bb+/100 over a 5K stretch of hands...

I think you guys are not givng the OP enough credit, 58% W$SD is an attainable long term stat.

Your cool man, do you do coaching? Maybe you can help me work on my winrate. Here are my stats. I feel im almost there with a 12bb/100 winrate but maybe after you coaching I can reach your level of 13bb/100

Not quite 60 hands, but multiply the winrate by 6 if you want the effect of a full sample size.

Uh, I'll be odd man out and tell you that at least your stats are decent (steal blinds more... way more).

Here's a HU for sample sizes: anything less than 50k is vague at best, anything under 20k is a complete joke.

Do you sit on a space heater when you play?
Or is it one of those old radiators? Those can really get cooking...

was sweating a friend who sat out for a minute, so I sat down on my sn for a bit to make sure the table wouldn't break

a like 70/0 guy limps UTG, and I got T4o andd on't plan on playing long so what the [censored], I call. bb checks.

flop 864 two tone. I bet out, bb raises, utg calls, I call.

turn T, I checkraise, both call

river 4, I bet, BB raises, UTG calls, I 3-bet, BB caps, UTG folds. 64 no good

Scotty, don't get discouraged by these jackals. Keep playing your game and come back at 50k hands and post again. That'll show 'em.

Scotty, I think you're capable of doing better. Why not 15BB/100? Don't sell yourself short. Make us proud over the next session of 1,100 hands.

Your winrate at this point after this small of a sample isn't reliable in any sense. However, it doesn't mean absolutely nothing...this is a very good indication that you are a winning player, and maybe even a 2bb+/100 winner. This site should give you an idea of your true winrate... (http://www.svenskpoker.com/math.php)
edit: sustainable winrates at 5/10 from my understanding are no greater than 3 bb/100, so basically look mainly at the minimum bb/100.
