What do you think of this line? Should I raise the flop? I was prepared to call down unless he bet big on that ace.

I don't check the flop with an overpair.

I try to get as much $ in postflop as possible... Maybe I suck though

I hate check/call on the flop. If you check you have to raise when he bets.

Now you didn't and I am fine with the check-calling the river. He didn't really make it hard for you though.

Hmm...agreed. Leading the flop would tell me where I stand. If I lead the flop, do you fold to a 2-3xraise?

I didn't reraise preflop because his limp/raise looked like he had a monster and didn't want to merely steal the blinds.

I think you can't ask for a better flop w/ QQ (aside from top set), I think you're good here... no free cards, get money in postflop

Ok, lets pretend I lead the flop with a bet of 300-350. If the villian raises to 700, what do you do next?

Any read on villain?

Based on how the hand was played, he probably has KK.

i push unless i really think villian will LIMP/raise w/ AA or KK
If villain has JJ, just a bad beat. I like getting more $ in preflop, and if not... getting as much $ in postflop as possible.

Assume no. Thats one of the things I need to work on. Paying closer attention.

This is obviously what I'm concerned about.

tough spot without a read

I really think he has a mediocre hand, and thinks BB is trying to push him off it. I really don't put villian on AA or KK. Has villian played a hand yet? If he's slowplayin AA or KK, wouldn't he at least min raise (or 2.5 BB)...
push

I didn't read preflop action right. Didn't realize he reraised you preflop there. Meh.

Now, I think checking the flop is ok, but I don't like the call. I think raising and folding to the 3-bet is a good line here for clarity. Without a read, depending on the level, I think that's my line.

Against a donk, I bet and happily shove my chips in the middle if raised.

I think I'm check-pushing this flop. I think you get called here by worse hands enough.

The problem with this line is that I commit more than half of my remaining chips if I raise his flop bet. Folding after that can't be right.

Lead the flop, fold to a reraise.

Fold if he bets the turn.

Call his 150 if you get to the river.

In a 27 on stars you can't fold qq on that flop there are so many hands he could have i.e j9+ 99 1010 even something stupid like a9 or k9. You need to either lead the flop or when he leads you have to checkraise chances are you have the best hand on the flop and try to get the most money in on the flop.
