First hand at the table, so no reads. I think the flop lead is ok, because there's no way for my opponent to know what I have. When he flat calls, I suspect he's got overcards only.

Then comes the silly part, perhaps. I checked the turn, because I was afraid he might fold overcards. Then I donk the river when the A falls, guessing that he might view it as desperation.

Any of this make sense?

I like it. I would of checkraised the flop personally, because they will still peel so you gain a SB.

But after that there is a very good chance he will fold the turn, I think this is a perfect spot to give someone a free card to hang themselves on.

Hate to be boring, but c-r the flop and lead the turn. If you're so sure he'll fold overs on the turn, then you should be doing this play with nothing more often.

I hope you were planning to CR the turn.
If so, I like this line, it's a good one to use against an aggressive opponent heads up. A lot of players will raise overcards on the flop, then bet it on the turn anyway, hoping to get a fold or take a free showdown UI.

Yeah, I was planning to c/r the turn.

Any other opinions?

I prefer a flop c/r. He's much more capable of folding to a turn c/r then a flop c/r. Monsters may also wait till the turn.
