Just started playing SnGs with some small degree of success after playing Limit (which got incredibly boring) and woukd like to read a book or two to get me to some level of familiarity with WTF I'm doing.

Much of the commentary here is above my head and I need some basic knowledge so I can understand what you all are saying.

Books? Sites? Beautifuk women who will come to my house and teach me? I'm open to anything ro make me smarter.

TIA.

Hi Lew,

Make sure you give the FAQ your time. Some folks put quite a bit of work into it - worth the read. Here also is a strategy thread that should keep you busy: Linky (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=singletable&Number=1918735 &fpart=&PHPSESSID=)

I think Harrington on Hold'em Vol 1 would be a great place to start, if you're looking for a book.

I think this forum is a good resource to beating SnGs, especially Party SnGs.

Just read posts here and eventually concepts that seemed hard will become obvious. And don't be afraid to ask question as long as you can tolerate the odd smartass answer and don't throw a temper tauntrum. Smartass comments work as a kind of litmus test anyway.

Read the FAQ and search for the favourite threads posts made by the user "the shadow". That should get you started.
