I don't think I can get away from this when the turn comes an A

So I lead the turn for like $15, calling a raise

If he calls, I check/call if I don't improve on river, push if I do improve on river

What hand do you put villain on that calls the turn bet that we are ahead of? A couple straight draws and a flush draw is all I can think of... Seems more likely to me that we're behind to QK or AJ on the turn if we are called (or put all-in). Shrug, hell if I know, I'm not that great at these situations, I just tend towards the tight side.

Maybe straight draw maybe flush draw, maybe KJ/QJ/J9/QT, depends how bad he is I guess

Yeah, if your read is he won't call with the hands I mentioned above, then betting the turn is a bad idea

tough spot really

Yeah, my reads tend to be off often though, by default I assume they are reasonable. But I guess the average for pp 100 NL is going to be a lot worse.

I call, once the ace hits, I don't think I'm getting away from this.

Like hotpants listed, I find it possible that he holds a J, with a kicker that gives him a straight draw, or something similar. Once he pushes on the turn, I do not think he has an Ace. Maybe he has TJ. Either way, I'm willing to pay to find out, and I also have a good draw as well.

Lead the turn for 15, call a RR, as you are now getting the price you need. Makes the hand rather simple.

As you checked the turn, folding is fine.
