has anyone got any recommendations? I've got at least 10 hrs. in the air in a couple weeks and I'd like a portable DVD player to watch movies -

I'm looking at about 4-5 hrs/trip - Luv2DriveTT recommended getting a spare battery, but I'm not sure what models are good - I'll probably just get a cheapo model since I won't be watching it anywhere really but home.

Anyone bought one of these and easily gotten a spare battery? - Any recommendations? -

gratsi -

I could use a new laptop, but I'm thinking $150, not $600 -

you could always use www.circuitcity.com (http://www.circuitcity.com) for their customer reviews.

Toshiba's have a nice screen, but some have poor sound, like mine. Also, two pixels died a couple months in, but luckily not where the picture is, but at the very bottom.

The truth is, the quality varies widely, so it's best to go to the store and put your eyeball on a player. You might also want to get progressive scan, for a better picture. And you might want to bring a CD of your own to play just to listen to the sound. You know how the CD's they give you to test the sound are 99% trumpet.

i think you'd be nuts to do anything other than buy a laptop

the cheap portables are absolute crap, the battery life sucks, and they can only do one thing
