I'm not sure the best way to play this. What do you think of all streets? It is my first orbit.

Just start raising on the flop. Cap the turn. You are ahead more often than you think. Note also that the guy stuck in between is providing you with bonus money, and money is good.

I think you have to raise on the flop so that UTG can reraise and push out CO who might draw a flop. As a bonus, if utg does reraise, it means he is much more likely to have trip aces too and will pay you off. if he doesn't reraise, he is more likely to have been betting a draw. You can adjust accordingly.

opponents played oddly, though. I'm curious what they had

Raise this flop so you can do the same thing with QQ later on.

Thanks for the replies all. I was close between raising the flop or the turn but the idea of getting both of them for 2BB on the turn is what swayed me. Anyway, I guess this hand is an example of what the game was good. UTG had QQ (with Qd) and CO had Td5d for the winning flush. Could you have put him on that? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

UTG overplaying a KK or QQ with the diamond, or holding another AK/AQ with the diamond are certainly reasonable possible the way he played it.

CO being passive with a baby flush certainly makes the most sense once he overcalls at the end. On the turn he can be calling with a naked K or Q. Not that cold-calling T5s makes any sense at all pf, that deserves an entry in the player notes.

Cap the turn. You underrepresented your hand on the flop so you could get tons of money in on the turn. Do it.

I'd just get jiggy on the flop, FWIW.

Most times shorthanded no one makes the flush. Don't let ROT dissuade you from capping with trip aces.
